" Banh Xeo " Vietnamese Crepe Recipe


For a long time, Banh Xeo Vietnamese "Crepe" became a cake bearing characteristics of the Vietnamese countryside, especially the south and central regions. Currently the crepes are very popular in Vietnam and Vietnamese communities around the world.After we found out the street foods in several countries, now I would like to help you learn an easy and stunning dish of Asia's Street food




The name “banh xeo”- another name is sort of fried cake that also make people thinking “there must that the sound of cracking when poured therefore they makes the name sound like cracking the crepe. The cake in each region varies in size and making: Hue crepe,Phan Thiet crepe is usually small but Southern pancakes is different, bigger and more stuffing. Those who has visited the western enjoy the crispy crepe with varies vegetables to get unforgettable memories




To make a good Vietnamese crepe is an art. Vietnamese crepe is yellow color from saffron, fatty and flavor of the coconut milk, the thin and crispy of edge of the crepe. Hallmark of “ banh xeo” is the varies of vegetable to eat with crepe. From the acrid, sour of tender mango, crape myrtle, to pungent smell of broccoli, lettuce fish, herbs…

Let's start with Asia's street food recipe !!!!!!!!!!!!



200gr rice flour

400ml coconut milk

½ teaspoon of salt

300gr chop beef

300gr small shrimp

Kind s herbs, lettuce, broccoli


Spicy Vietnamese Dipping Sauce (Nuoc Cham):

1 cup of delicious fish sauce + 1 cup of boiling water + 2cups of sugar + 3 lemons 

Dissolve sugar and salt in boiling water, and then put lemons. After that you put in garlic, peppers and chili. Lastly, we put carrots, turnips


Mix flour and making crepe


The Vietnamese crepe make in right way need to have the sound “ xeo “ when you have just put flour into the frying pan. You need to wait until the frying pan surface is hot, then put the cooking oil into the pan, wait until the oil boiling to pour the crepe


  Mix rice flour + coconut milk + salt, put in refrigerator about 1 hour (dough infused water). 



Fry beef and shrimp available. 


Then pouring 1 spoon of flour in the middle of the pan, turn around until the flour cover all the surface of pan, sprinkle bean sprouts,beef and shrimp (may sprinkle a little oil around the crepe). 


Turn the crepe again until it yellow-ripened. The crepe was yellow all and peel off then take it out


Lastly,Cut into small pieces and roll in vegetable, then served with dip sauce
